Binge watch worthy series? – The handmaid’s tale

Hi all!

If you would know me you know how obsessed I am with series and movies. I just can’t get enough of it!
So I thought it would be fun to talk about my thoughts and feelings from  what series and movies I have seen. When I love a series or movie I get really emotionally invested in it, and if I tell you about it I will get too enthusiastic. So you will have to stop me from talking too much, or you will go crazy.
I will try to hold myself together and not give away spoilers!

The handmaid’s tale has until now just one season,  and the episodes are around 50 minutes long.
I saw the trailer  first and I was immediately curious, but I must say it kind of gives you a wrong impression. In the beginning it gives you the vibe that all of it was a long time ago, but you will find out that’s not the case. But about the story itself, it’s about a woman named ‘Offred’, she has become a handmaid but not by choice. Times have changed and the wrong people with terrible ideas got more power than is good for them. They think woman exist only to bare children.
So long story short: In the last couple of years, not enough children were born, which drives them to extreme ideas. In every household there is a handmaid who is only there to bare children for the family. Although you might get a creepy  feeling if you think about the story too much, it’s my favorite series of 2017.
